John started his career at Norman Springate and Associates Ltd in 1973 after graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Beginning as a junior engineer he progressed into project engineering and management. In 1978 he joined Ipem Consulting Limited as a project engineer, and in 1980 John joined Stolberg Engineering Ltd. at which time
he became Manager of Engineering. John has been actively involved in all our projects since that time.

Prior to 1980, some of the major projects John was involved with were:
Evans Products Ltd., Lillooet, BC
Project Engineer on $10 million project which included extensive sawmill expansion and a new veneer plant.
Fibreco Export Inc., North Vancouver, BC
Project Engineer for new truck dump and chip reclaim facilities.
Crown Zellerbach Ltd., Fraser Mills, BC
Project Electrical Engineer for $17 million 3-line veneer plant and new log handling system.
Tackama Forest Products Ltd., Fort Nelson, BC
Project Engineer for several projects relating to log decks, studmill and veneer plant.
